Stood unwaveringly in the storm, post hardcores "Crooks" have always been held in the highest regard. Not only for their ever heart baring commitment to their work, but to the sentiment driving their intention in the first place.

Hailing from the UK and established in 2011, Crooks was born into an already thriving hardcore scene, swiftly keeping up with their peers in both charisma and presence. Crooks spent most of their early years as a band garnering a cult like following across the UK and Europe through relentless DIY touring, selling handmade tapes of their first EP "nevermore" from the back of their van and playing floor show after floor show in attempts to reach as many people as possible. As the band unearthed before the rise of social media and streaming, Crooks had an upbringing outside of the internet, creating a stiff upper lip approach to the often relentlessness of being in a young band on the road.

After a few determined years the band had started to see the fruits of their labour ripen, landing their first established sold out support tour at the end of 2013. These shows conducted such attention around the band that they moved swiftly into writing and recording their debut album "Are We All The Same Distance Apart" which they would later release through American Record Label, Equal Vision. Crooks continued to tour while the process of the album was being pieced together, only this time headlining shows in countries further from home and landing support tours with bands such as "Being as an Ocean" and "Coheed and Cambria". The band didn't slow their stride, continuing their album rollout selling out further headline shows across UK / Europe and playing main stage at 2000 trees, a sentimental feat for Crooks as the festival is held just outside their hometown.

Unknowingly at the time, upon release, the album would go on to account for millions of streams throughout the record and visual rollout. The fans by this point as dedicated to the band as the members. It cemented the determination of the 5 boys and their initial intention of reaching anyone with their music. The songs are fast paced and heart baring, the band play emotional music through the lens of punk and hardcore. After years of touring, achieving far outside of their expectations, Crooks stood still for a moment in order to let the music breathe by itself.

It's hard to define any art other than by how it makes the consumer feel, Crooks is a band for many that does just that.
